Stress can be described as a specific type of mental tension and worry, which can be caused by difficulties in life, work, or both.
It can lead to anxiety and worry.
It is an incredibly common human reaction to stress. It occurs when people encounter dangerous and challenging situations in life.
Stress can result from both external and internal factors.
Stress will also cause an increase in consciousness, which will help us be more alert and more able to deal with difficult situations.
It is good to feel fatigued, anxious, stressed out, burnt-out, overwhelmed or tense when stress causes these feelings.
It can have both positive and negative effects.
Both the mind and body can be affected by stress.
Stress stimulates the mind and body. In response to external pressures, hormones and adrenaline are released.
When the body is stressed, hormones will release and increase heart rate and breathing speed.
Stress causes the brain to get more oxygen, which will give you an advantage and help you deal with situations better.
The person may experience irritability and anxiety, as well as depression, if the stress is persistent.
If the stress is prolonged, it’s possible for the person to suffer from headaches or insomnia.
Some people will experience stress that causes them to overeat or not eat enough.
Other consequences of stress include alcohol abuse, drug abuse, and social with drawl (Lovallo (2015)).

People will experience changes in their stress levels and subsequent symptoms.
Some symptoms can be more damaging than others. However, more or less of the stress-related ailments that affect human beings such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and skin problems will have adverse effects on their health.
The fight or flight response to stress is controlled by the central nervous system (CNS).
CNS informs the body what to do when they are under stress and marshals all available resources.
CNS will usually release cortisol or adrenaline from the adrenal glands.
After the perceived stress is gone, the CNS allows normal system operation.
The risk of developing anxiety, depression and irritability is higher if the stress is persistently present.
When exposed to severe stress conditions, the body’s respiratory system can get overexcited.
The stress will cause an increase in the breathing rate.
The heart may pump blood at an even faster rate due to stress.
The stress hormones can cause blood vessels to narrow and increase blood pressure.
This will allow your brain to obtain more oxygen and provide more strength to the body in order to carry out an action.
To give the body an energy boost, the digestive system will supply extra sugar.
Diabetes II can also be caused by chronic stress. This is due to an increase in glucose levels (Fisher 2013).
Chronic stresses can lead to muscle contractions and other problems, such as stomach pains, head ache, and body aches.
The male hormones are released more frequently when there is excess stress. This can cause erectile dysfunction in men and even impotence.
A more painful menstrual cycle can be a result for women.
Frequent stress can cause a decline in immunity, making people more vulnerable to infectious diseases and infections. (Thoits 2013).

The effects of stress on emotions and behavior can have a profound effect on people (Carlson 2016).
The most common problems a person will face with emotions is loss of positive outlook. This can lead to loss of confidence. Individuals will also become more susceptible to irritation. Individuals will also experience depression. Individuals will also become apathetic towards outside events.
You will experience a lack of interest and a detached attitude.
Whatever the reasons for stress in an individual, the effects of these stresses on emotions are the same.
Stress exposure can lead to loss of family relationships and stress in the surrounding environment. This will also contribute to stress levels rising (Lovallo (2015)).
Stress can significantly impact the behavior of human beings.
This can cause people to overeat or undereat.
Anger outbursts will occur if the stress is repeated.
With chronic stress exposure, people may become addicted to alcohol or drugs.
People may also succumb to smoking.
People who smoke will experience depression and social withdrawal.
The frequency with which you do exercises daily can also be a behavioral change (Wilson 2013).
Long-term stress exposure will cause visible changes in human behavior. People may feel anxious, worried, or overwhelmed. They will experience changes in moods, anxiety, depression, difficulty in concentration, as well as irritability.
Human beings can develop fear of physical and/or natural disasters such as earthquakes, thunderstorms, or even small spaces.
Bipolar disorder can be caused by chronic stress exposure.
This condition is also called bipolar affective disorder or manic depression. The person will experience dramatic changes in their moods, as well as a variation in their energy and enthusiasm.
People will experience a shift in their behavior from extremes in mania (one pole) and lows in major depression (the opposing pole).
Bipolar mood disorder is a condition that causes people to experience extreme mood swings. The intensity of the symptoms increases with age and becomes more severe with each passing day.
People with chronic stress will experience loss in concentration, difficulty in understanding and learning new information, as well as problems making decisions (Selve 2013, 2013).
The other characteristics of stressed people include a decreased interest in appearance, increased concern about punctuality and obsessive/compulsive behavior.
Modern lifestyle and associated stresses have led to a constant exposure of the human body and mind to physical and mental stress.
The stress that human beings experience can cause a variety of mental and physical illnesses.
If people are alert to the physical and psychological symptoms of other human beings, then they should take precautions to reduce the stress on their mental or physical condition.
There will be aches and discomforts for people, such as dizziness and nausea, chest pain, nausea and vomiting, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, loss or sex drive, frequent colds and flu.
Stress management is the first and most important step to take if you’re clear that your body is under stress.
There are many psychotherapies and techniques that can help you manage stress levels, particularly chronic ones.
Move more. This will help to reduce stress and improve blood circulation.
To cope with stress, one must be socially connected with others. This will increase your social intelligence and help you adapt to the stressor.
Healthy lifestyle, which includes avoiding caffeine, sugar, tobacco and drugs, as well as a healthy diet, will improve our ability to deal with stress.
